Xbox 360 Launch Gems

So I got a 360 shortly before Christmas, and I've been trying to save money by purchasing older games that are still great. I've come across some great launch titles that can be had for cheap. The two I've spent the most time on are Dead Rising and Kameo: elements of power. Both games are freaking awesome.

The best part of purchasing both those games is I paid $20 for Dead Rising and $15 for Kameo. $35 bucks for probably 50 plus hours of game play.

I'd like to see other ideas on great games that can be had on the cheap for the 360, whether they be launch titles or not doesn't really matter. Any suggestions on cheap games that are just plain great on the 360?
 
Condemned is pretty good and you might find it used for pretty damn cheap now.

seriously though, i bought my 360 for rainbow six, but in the end id say 90% of the playtime i get on it is pgr3/4 forza 2, with the remainder being geometry wars, and a quickly rising part of assassins creed

me and my roommates started a house wide time-challenge ranking, each track, each car class :D

Seconded.

Condemned is a great horror game. A good sound system makes this good game, great. Condemned, Cod2, and Kameo were my favorite launch titles. A sequel for Condemned arrivals this year too.
 
I think Fight Night Round 3 is one of the greatest hits now, like 29.99 or....some such number like that :p
 
lol, most of the games people are listing are not launch games, but whatever...as long as they are cheap right? ;)

PGR3 is awesome, Saints Row is another goodie to pickup.

one of the first games for my launch unit... love it. Can't wait for the second now. CoD2 is still a classic, but might as well go for cod4 now.
 
You can get the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and Forza Motorsport 2 pack-in off eBay for like $20. That is, by far, one of the best deals you'll find for the 360 right now.

Otherwise, I'd strongly recommend Oblivion, which will last you about forever.

EB or gamestop should have them for under 20 now that they are bundled
 
I would recommend:

Gears of War
Viva Pinata
Mass Effect
NHL08

Forza2 and M:UA are very good games. I enjoyed them a lot.

Another vote for The Darkness. It is really cheap now and a decent game. For some reason, the game just flopped. It launched and it was almost like people just forgot about it the day after.

Also, pickup Crackdown. You can get it pretty cheap too. It isn't a long game, but you can get it for about $20.
 
Good suggestions from everyone so far. I've already picked up Oblivion, but it sounds like I'll have to check out Crackdown. I played that game a bit at a friends and thought it was pretty fun. Plus if I can get it for around $25 I might as well. Oblivion was $30, so there was no way I could pass on it. Maybe this is how I'll game from now on. I'll just stay a year or two behind the curve and get all the games I want for half price :).
