Xbox 360 Headset?

So if you were going to buy a new headset for a 360 right now what would you get?

I was leaning heavily towards the a40 or a50's by Astro until I saw the mass slew of problems people are having with the new models (cut outs, poor build quality on mixamp, muffled mic, etc)

The Warheads look really nice and have a lot of features I want but all the reviews state pretty subpar audio quality.

I have DT770's for my PC/MP3 and I love them but I use XBL chat a lot and the mixamp is the only good option I can find for using my DT's with the xbox and with all the problems Astro is having right now I am going to avoid them like the plague.

So pretty much looking for anyones input.

Should I just buy a cheap wired set or the cheaper Triton Wireless?

I'm not spending $300 for $50 headphone quality :).
