Xbox 360 Gamepad Vibrates Non-Stop in Windows

A few weeks ago I bought a wired xbox 360 controller and it vibrates during non action scenes in games and also vibrates when I exit a game to the Windows desktop. Is the controller defective or is bad drivers from Microsoft?

Defective. Mine doesn't do that. Win 8 here.

I've never had such problem with mine, I have the latest driver installed too.

Try downloading the latest driver if you haven't get it from Microsoft site and see if it solves the problem. Otherwise, I'd guess it's defective
