Stole these off TXB so credit to them. Some think its the XBox Next controller. Wireless and looks pearly Ipod white. MS sure sucks at keeping secrets if these are real and the color scheme is ugly IMO.


 
hmm... hopefully the old controllers will be compatible (I'm sure they will be).


That is kinda wierd how ourcolony used a sony psp to show the pic of the controller... :confused:

Isn't ourcolony an ARG for Microsoft? :D :confused:

Looks like a Sony PSP rather than a Xbox2 controller to me.
Edit: Until I looked what was on the screen.. :eek:
 
Maybe it's a Sony spy trying to steal MS thunder. :D The color seems off though, black sticks on a white base?, and it looks so damn plain and simple. I think its fake as I cant see MS having such a horrid project team that would let something like this slip after what appears to be a big ad campaign with ourcolony.com to reveal little by little the controller and probaly the system in a few weeks.

yeah, it looks like one of those logitech wireless xbox controllers, just painted white or something...

Also, if its not, the coor sceme is proabably just for a test unit, what the point of painting it all blac and colorful, when your just going to be making design changes soon?
 
Looks like a refined version of the supposed Xbox2 controller in a Gamespot Rumor Control column a few months back.

I find it strange that Microsoft would completely change their color scheme. Just out of curiousity, I inverted the image and messed around with levels a bit. Looks much better this way, imo:

 
i guess we also need instead of X,Y,A,B....use color codes! great...all i need to do instead of knowing the letter codes already is remember the colors. stare at my controller for the first few games. lol
 
the only thing that I don't like about it so far (besides being smaller than the original Xbox controllers), is the rounded off joysticks. I like the joysticks to have the indent on top. The rounded ones, even coated in rubber, make it easy for my thumb to slip off.
 
Plus, it looks to close to the Logitech controller......

It is a prototype no dubt but I am not sure if it is fake or not. I doubt they color is final.
 
i doubt that is the final controller. they still have months before its due to come out, i'm sure they wouldn't release something that looks as craptastic as that thing does.

Yeah, but it's only one month to the official unveiling.

In fact, at the time of this post it is 31 days, 8 hours and 31 minutes until launch.
 
I said in another post that I thought it would be cool if the Xbox 2 was white.



I changed my mind. Stick with black.
 
That is most defiantly not a final controller. It looks more like a fake, then a real concept.

Even if this is not fake, it is surely a prototype. Most rapid prototyping methods will result in a prototype which has a similar colour to the controller in question. Ergonomics and function would be much higher on the list then colour, for a prototype.

I would much prefer a black XBOX 2. However it would make sense from a marketing perspective to go white this time. I can just see the positioning line now "XBOX 2, the difference is black and white". Those advertising types really do like to play on words.

Why not just release the thing in multiple colors? Except, unlike Nintendo's fruity colors, we'd get ones we actually care about. I wouldn't mind a white or silver Xbox2. Then again, I also want a white PSP, so hey, I'm in the minority.

The more colours you release the console in, the more money it is going to cost, in manufacturing.

Good thing Microsoft's already said they're using concepts such as swappable frontplates for customization--I'd assume the other five sides of the console would be swappable as well. Microsoft can bundle a specific color set in so many Xbox2s, or they can just market the things separately for a few bucks. Color changing on the Xbox2 should not be a big deal.

This is just a marketing ploy to make more money. When it comes to cell phones, the most profitable piece of hardware, which is also sold more then the cell phone itself .... is the removable faceplate.

Exactly the function cited by Microsoft when they announced the feature.

It's still possible to get multiple colors without manufacturing multiple types of consoles, so Microsoft wins, and if the plates are cheap enough, we win too.
 
I agree with the face plate comment. It is the real controller. Simple and stark are in. Ship a ghey controller wait 3 months, and ship the more expensive solution to fake problem. Bango you just generated a market.

Its just like how the drug companies release toxins into the food supply that give you ADD, erectile problems, nerosies ect. Then they wait two years and release a wonder drug to serve the market that they just created!!!!!! :eek: Have you noticed how many drug companies are subsidiaries or spin offs of food and tobbaco companies???? :confused:

Ifact, the colors are like, Purple, Silver, black or blue (I think...)
whats so fruity about those? (except purple, but its a good kind of purple...)

I have a black Gamecube and I think it looks better then both the Xbox (huge) and PS2 (meh, just ugly)

I have an xbox, I used to have a PS2, but there were no good games that I liked for it, and none planned (this was a few months ago)

I still dont want one

I havea purple gamecube with purple controller.. it doesn't look gay at all.. it's definatly not a gay purple.. but whatever.. i don't see how you think teh g-cube has fruity colors.. then again you might be one of these blind nintendo haters

BTW: i'm not one of these gay nintendo fan boys either lol... but as i said before.. that white x box controller looks nasty.. i hope it's now the final color.. and as someone else said.. it could be a prototype.. we have prototyping machines here at my school, and they always produce white plastic... so it could very well be that

And that's a step in the right direction. But those are relatively new colors, and you and I both know the full range of colors on that thing.

My PS2 library has at least 20 games in it, and there are quite a few games I still haven't bought. I don't get the people who say there's nothing good on the PS2.

Blind Nintendo hater... funny. So explain why I own every Nintendo system except the Game Boy Color, GB Pocket, and DS. I have no problem with Nintendo the company: I just think they could go for less goofy colors on their consoles. They're already doing it with the DS, and I hope those particular-colored units come out here, so that I can finally get a DS (the white one, if you're curious.)

Great... say a company should make their console in different colors, get jumped. Touchy people today.
