I'm currently building a new HTPC based on that same exact motherboard. First one I received wouldn't power on so I'm waiting for the Egg to ship me a replacement at the moment so I can't give specifics on performance just yet.

I will say that that case is awfully big for that board and the rest of your components. If you're using a mini ITX board, a 2.5" HD and maybe an optical drive you might want to look into the case I just bought. The Wesena ITX2.

It's tiny, well-made, and you can get it with an IR receiver built-in plus remote. After buying a pico PSU (it doesn't come with one) you're at just about the same price as that huge Antec but with a much smaller footprint. Classier look too, in my opinion.

that zotac shouldnt hiccup with 720p/1080p.......my atom ion setup handles them with no issues

Well just wanted to post back went ahead and order the items listed yesterday will be coming in today can't wait to try it out.

Do ATI/AMD GPU's support VDPAU now, I thought that was a nVidia only feature.

If you plan to play high def stuff the VDPAU decoder is great.

ATI/AMD support XvBA but with a VAAPI back end.
Nvidia supports VDPAU
Intel supports VAAPI

XBMC (Linux) supports VAAPI & VDPAU (or so says wiki).
