Xbit Labs does CCS

Nothing terribly new. XTPE soundly thrashes the Ultra

The biggest difference I saw was in the first pure speed test and it was 16.9fps and both cards were above 90fps in 16 x 12 res. How is that thrashing. Hell if it was 30fps or so and the Ultra was below 60fps then yeah you could say that. ATI was always faster @ AA at higher resolutions. What else did you guys expect. That gap will get closed a bit I think. The x800xt doesnt overclock all that great and the Ultra does. Im glad ATI is winnin a bit @ HL2. It needed it after D3. Now we still have a healthy competition going. So Nvidias balls wont swell again and it wont release BS cards like before.

looks pretty normal for 61.77 drivers with the default op (trilinear) left on. 65.62 is much faster in 1024x768 and 1280x1024, but the same speed in 1600x1200 with 4xAA/16xAF enabled.

I wish they would make their "demo 1" available.

The interesting results:
VST 1600x1200 no AA/no AF

I must say I was very suprised at how crappy the 6800NU did, around half the level of the 6800GT, and the GT is only $100 more  I'm telling you the 6800NU is totally overpriced. Not only do they get to use slow, cheap ram, they also get to use half of it, and use crippled cores, all for only 25% less.

It's what I've been saying all this time. NU doesn't strike me as a good deal when compared to the GT. Not unless you can mod in those extra 4 pipes.
