im thinking of buying either an XT or an XTPE as im noticing a drop in prices @newegg
am also thinking of using an ati silencer 5 with the card as im building an SFF pc (fragbox2)
the HIS X850XT comes with the silencer 5 along with OCing software and warranty
is it worth paying the extra for the HIS or go with a Sapphire card for less $$?
these are the cards im looking at:
HIS X850XT vga/dvi @540/1180 $524
HIS X850XTPE dual dvi $557
Sapphire X850XT dual dvi $460

any extra advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Well the XT-PE has an interesting feature, video-in. I love it.

Well Look at the HIS and see how far back the cooler goes from the card. I dont think it will fit. I myself I am building a SN25P here in 3 days and decided to go with the Sapphire. Was going to wait for the 7800 GTX but I think it might be too long as well plus it doesn't have a dual slot solution to pump the hot air out. BTW: 7800 GTX comes out here on Tues or Wed

EDIT:
Yes the HIS wont fit unless u mod the case:

i havent decided as yet, will decide when im ready to order
available would either be the MSI RS480M2-IL or one of the Jetway mobos
i would like the gigbyte ga-k8a480m-9 (i think thats it) to be released for retail though

i know my way is more expensive than a shuttle but i prefer the standard atx psus and having room for PCI cards, im would like to buy an audigy 2 sound card as well

Yeah just looked at newegg and not alot of choices are available for a Micro ATX 939. Some of the Reviews for the ATI chipset say that even after disabling onboard video, the MB still allocates system RAM for the onboard video. I bet maybe a BIOS update would fix that.

yup@ not a lot of choices
the good thing is that the prices are reasonable for a microatx mobo so i dont have a problem upgrading to a newer mobo in a few months
i would like GB lan on a microatx mobo though, maybe even crossfire next year :)

the fragbox 2 has 4 exp slots :)
that $350 X850XT is AGP
im going pci-e so no go there
