I saw the X850XT AGP version for sale online with 256mb. Will there be a 512mb AGP version or is that only for PCI-E?
 
i saw something about ATI announcing a 512mb card but i dont think it had anything to do with x850xt's AGP or PCI-e, manily b/c i think the memory wouldnt be fast enough......

Who cares?

Honestly, who cares?

512mb on a current gen card is as useful as a one-legged man at an arse kicking contest, much like 256mb was on the first generation of cards to have it.

Don't get me wrong, I am glad these cards are being made, and that some wastrels are buying them. But only because, as with all new videocard tech, the more people to adapt the technology the more developers will try to use it, but I still would never recommend to anyone I know that they buy one.

It's fast enough. Samsung recently announced high speed, high density, GDDR3 modules.
