Here are some pictures of a project I am working on, this is all in the works but I'm waiting on some parts to be modified before I can put it all together. This is the Pro E model used to create the drawings for the heatsinks and the 3D files to create the ABS plastic brackets. I am having them printed tomorrow!

Funny you mention that, I have asked him for some tips on this thing, but most of it was my own creation. I did get the fan idea from him but I am not using his method of attatchment since the fins wouldn't support a fan. If anyone else has any suggestions feel free as I have not machined the heatsinks yet and I'm printing the abs plastic tomorrow.

My suggestion would be to leave off the fans at first, with heatsinks like that on the RAM you might not even need them, and less noise is a good thing.

Yeah, no need for fans. GDDR3 runs so cool anyway that those big copper heatsinks would be plenty for whatever you throw at it.

How cool do these rams usually run at. I have a volt modded X800 Pro that would get to about 40C under load. Is this pretty good for temps?

I had some small copper heatsinks on my X800XT PT and a temp probe inbetween the fins of one of them. I dont believe the onboard temp sensor for a second, my ram was reaching 175F under heavy load (D3 or HL2). You couldn't even touch the small heatsinks, and to top it off they were only held on by that heat tape stuff, which means the actual chip was probably closer to 200F. If you think your ram runs cool, you are sadly mistaken!
