X850 Pro AGP pipe unlocking - How?

I just bought a 256MB x850 Pro directly from ATi for 119 shipped. Last AGP card I'll ever buy.

I've seen a lot of conflicting reports on unlocking this card, does anyone have any concrete information?

i unlocked all 16 on mine... somehow...



i completely forgot how, flashed the cards bios or something

Yeah, you need to flash it with an X850XT bios, I believe.

Do a google search. As aforementioned its pretty much a BIOS flash using a BIOS of a card which normally has all 16 pipes enabled. Probably you're likely to encounter is the batch of x850pros from which you ordered might not be re-enableable [if thats a word]. Even with 12 pipes the card should OC pretty darn well and be a nice one for ya
