X850 PE OC question

It will, but...

It doesn't look like it will offer a lot of cooling... I have an Arctic Cooling Silencer Rev. 3 on my x850 XT (AGP), and the card STILL runs around 40 degrees C idle. That's not really bad, but if that's all this monstrosity can cool it to, I shudder at what that small thing is going to do. I'd recomend one of these if you have any serious overclocking goals in mind.

hmmm, does anyone have a different opinion? reviews on newegg (i know, not that reliable) seem to say it does the trick.

I have a silencer on my x800gto that is unlocked overclocked to x850xt speeds.
It idles at 40 and loads at 65-70.

It's a very nice HSF. GPU's idle quite warmer than CPU's and can take hotter temperatures.

Let's see...... almost 400 reviews with the high majority (95%) being a "5". I'd say it's pretty good.

Just google it to see comparisons and reviews.

thanks, i'll probably move that hsf over as soon as i get a chance...have to find a replacement for the 9800 first though...i've got the x850 at 560, 1235 ddr, up from 540, 1180. I'm new to GPU OCing, how much more can i generally push this thing?
