I've just soft modded my ASUS VIVO X800XT to an ATI X800XT with 16pipes enabled and it works great. So my question is this:
1) what advantage is there in using the ATI X800PE flash when all it does extra is set the clock and memory timing to a higher value?
2) why shouldn't I be able to flash my card using an ASUS X800PE bios using the same force flash command as I did the the ATI 16pipe bios.
Admittedly, it would be cool to see the properties display an X800PE but If I can enable 16 pipes and set the core and memory frequency manually then what is the point?
I am currently getting approx. 11800 3DMark03 score.
