Whats the difference between the two? They use the same R420 core right? I'm pretty sure the only difference is the PE is clocked higher.

I'm also looking for a matrix that has all the video cards ATI made in a chart with cores, pipelines, clock speed and such lined up for comparasion. There was a link somewhere a while back but I lost it, anyone have the linky?

yeah well you know the whole college student thing with money. I'll manage to shoehorn a X800XT onto a ISA slot with my EE skills :)
 
You are correct, XT vs. XT PE is just a clock difference. Any x800 or x850 with Pro, GT, or no designater is pipe gimped.
