Alright guys, I have to leave for work pretty soon, but I just wanted to know if anyone else has run into a couple issues I'm seeing with my new baby.

The card is fine and all, does 560/600 so far....haven't let any AS5 break in or voltmodded at all yet, but I'm happy so far, but I am slightly confused. In Aquamark3, during the first scene when the ship flies over the hill...the test hitches and skips a few times, dropping the fps to 45 and butchering my overall score. Also, in 3DMark05 essentially the entire group of tests run ridiculously slow. I'm talking to the extent where Return to Proxycon rarely goes over 15fps once the marines leave the ship and I score about 4,800 overall.

This has nothing to do with AA or AF, as they're both set to Application preference. 3DMark2001, 3DMark03, and the REST of Aquamark3 are all perfectly fine, and I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this happen.

I have tried it with and without fastwrites to no avail...and I have properly uninstalled my Nvidia drivers, so don't bother asking about either of those solutions.

I'll try some different drivers tonight but for now I'm simply using the Catalyst 4.10 off ATI's site with the Control Panel and not control center.....think it'd make a difference for some reason?

I'm out, gonna play a bit more with 3DMark2001 and head to work.....almost at 26k already and I've just started. ;)

no worries about the jumpy scenes .. i get that too ... i think its because those benchmarks are made for powerful computers and stronger video cards so they can last till 2007 ;)

Seriously though, it's not normal.....because there's no reason why it'd just bottom out to 30-40fps when it's going 100 out of nowhere.....and the 3DMark05 isn't normal either.....cus with my cpu at 3.5-3.7GHz and the card at 560/1200 i should be scoring more then 4800.

I'm mostly concerned about AM3, but I'll try some drivers tonight maybe.

Perfectly normal. The skip in AM3 and the "slideshow" cpu tests in 3DMark 05. I would think you could trust me when I say it. :D

I get the same glitch or hicup your talking about, seems everyone does.

Well it's kinda funny, the Aquamark3 skip may very well be normal....but I just realised that I didnt have those "hotfix" drivers installed for the X800XT-PE, which would explain my extremely low score.

I'll post back in a bit with the updated score in 05, and then I start pushing the card....getting the waterblock for it on the 12th. ;)
