x800xt and x800xt pe difference?

The clocks on the PE are 575/520 as opposed to 500/500 on the "plain" XT.

That's it. You have to decide if that (slightly) extra fill-rate's worth the extra cash and wait.

More than that I believe the X800XT doesn't have the Rage Theatre chip. Someone correct me on that if I am wrong.

Its 520 core 560 memory on a stock XT PE, altho 575 mem can be easlily attained.

I thought the only difference is clock speeds? I know my card has VIVO on it. I've got the Xtasy X800 XT. You could be right but I thought the only difference between some were the clock speeds.

My bad. I got the core/clock speeds reversed. The 575 mem speed is per ATI's website. I have no idea if that's accurate because I've never seen a PE. Never really expect to, either! :p

The ViVo cards all have the Rage Theatre chip. But there are non-ViVo X800XT's and X800Pro's. The X800XT-PE is ViVo only.

My Xtasy X800 XT says it has ViVo??

am i right in saying it has VIVO since it has the yellow plug at the black? will i be able to easily o/c my memory speed to 560 from the standard 500 with a Arctic cooling Ati silencer 4?
 
Yes you are correct in saying that. Mine has the yellow plug in the back as well. i thought all the XT's had ViVo and the Pro's did not.
 
I also have the xtasy x800xt.. What do you plug into that yellow thing? I'm a n00b about vivo stuff... Mine doesn't OC that well though.. get artifacts at 525 core and haven't been able to get the HSF off to get AS5 on.. :(
 
got mine today after alot of messing anyway i found that it was actually a PE and not just the XT like i had been told, although in ATiTool i get artifacts before i even overclocked, i get some artifacts in some games aswell but not alot, anything i can do to get rid of these, my card is cooled well at 30C idle i dont know what its load temp is though
