x800xl under achieving?

Hi,

My Specs are:
Athlon 64 3200+ (754)
512MB PC3200 DDR
120GB 7200 HD

Sapphire X800XL 256MB AGP - Stock, Latest Catalyst Drivers, Latest Direct X drivers.

I got these scores:
3D Mark 2003: 6572
Aquamark: 35,080

I searched around on the net and it seems, even Radeon 9800 pros are beating my scores with very similar specs, I am concerned that the X800XL isn't running at it's full potential or it could be faulty, is there anything i could be doing wrong?

There's definitely something wrong with those benches...
My sys is in my sig, but I get 10781 on 03, and 65k or so on Aquamark stock, and my system isn't terribly different than yours...

Unfortunately, I can't see what might be wrong...Hopefully people more knowledgable than myself will be able to figure out something.
 
Even if you use a driver cleaner, I always do a clean format and install when changing a video card.

Also, if you don't have your mobo drivers installed, get them installed.
