X800XL AGP issue

Just bought one. I've got a 350W truepower power supply that's fine with my hardware now (9800Pro, 2 HDD, 2 optical drives).

When I install the 800XL, the PC posts, but does not boot. I see all of the post screens just fine. THe HDD never starts the boot process.

If I disconnect the power lead to the card, I get the error that I need to connect the power lead.

Think it's a power issue or a bad card? Personally I lean toward a weak power supply, but I'm just guessing.

I'm guessing that it's an underpowering issue. I have a 480watt PSU w/ a PCI-e X800XL 1hdd, 1 optical and an A64 3200+ and having no problems at all. I know that you have more running, but, this may help for reference.

I suggest borrowing a friends PSU to make sure that is it. If so go out and buy you a nice 500W name brand PSU.

Meh... 500W is overkill I'd say, a name brand 430W would suffice, and save him some $$$ along the way ;)
