Hey guys i just ordered my MSI board with a 3200 socket 939 a64. I also have a gig of crucial ballistix pc3200. I was wondering how big of a differenc would there be between a ati x800pro ( can get possibly cheaper from a RL friend, unopened box ) and a used gigabyte vivo flashed to a xtpe? I used to have one, but it was on a barton 2500 and didnt mess with the card much before i flashed it so i dont have much knowledge left on how the 2 compared. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks

The X800pro Vivo is the same as an XT PE as long as it can reach speeds of 520/560. An X800Pro is no match for it. Just google up some reviews of the XT PE you'll find the two compared.

My 12-pipe pro can beat out some XTPEs. :D Check out the 3dmark05 thread.

That said, I agree, he's better off with the XTPE-modded X800Pro. He'll be gauranteed 16pipes and XTPE speeds.
