X800GTO vs. X800PRO

hey guys,

im trying to decide on my last upgrade for my s478 system and ive narrowed it down to these video cards:
sappire radeon x800pro vivo
sapphire radeon x800gto

the prices are pretty close to one another and i was wondering if you guys could help me choose one. i know the x800pro vivo can be flashed to an x800xt pe with high success rates as shown here. i also know that the x800gto can be flashed to x850xt but im not sure if the card above can be flashed in this way. the link for that is here.

the page says that only gto cards from connect 3d can be flashed but does anyone know of flashing sapphires gtos?

i might also buy a 6800gt used from another [H] member. would that trump these two cards, flashed or not?

If the price is right for the 6800GT go for that, if it isnt then think about the ati cards.
 
the gto will not flash, its nto a gto^2, the x800 pro vivo will def flash to xt speeds, which will outperform the 6800 gt hands down.

the gt is a good card i haveh ad both, but the x800xt wins
 
i went ahead and bought a x800pro vivo and will flash it to xtpe speeds and 16 pipelines. fun times ahead!
