X800 XT PE 3D mark score: 3682... what's wrong?

Hi there, my system as follows:


P4 3.0c OC'ed to 3.5, 230 bus
1 gig Infineon 3500 DDR ram
5 120 or 160 gig drives, I forget
X800 Pro VIVO soft modded to XT PE @ 520/560
Omega 2590 drivers


In my Advanced 3D settings I have all the textures turned on high, also, 4x AA and 8x AF set for quality

Anything else? Help, I suck :(
 
Uhh, no, not a joke. Normally are you supposed to turn AA and AF off? it says in 3D mark 2005 that AA is off, etc. Does the 3D panel override those settings?
 
yeah, if you want a higher score, turn off all the frills.

that's probably a great looking 3dmark run though. ;)
 
Hey Huggles, as a rule, the more "eye candy" you turn on the less frames per second you will get. When running benchmarks turn off AA and AF. With your setup you should be scoring around a 5500 or so.
 
what you need to do is reformat and reinstall windows and drivers then installed the benchmark and have your vidcard settings on "butt ugly" ..and your score will dramatically increase :)
 
In the driver, leave the AA/AF settings at "Application preference."

I did manage to setup my Grand Wega III 42" LCD Projection screen for gaming! :)

Hey, I used to be a computer tech back in the day. I've worked a lot in the IT industry. I lost my job due to September 11, moved to Costa Rica, got involved in the adult industry, and have never looked back. My computer skills have degenerated to the point that I don't know if my ram is holding my system back, or if I shouldn't have ran the "cpuphukker.vbs" I got in my email this morning.


So uh, yeah, what can I do about my super low, sorry ass X800 XT PE scores? I re-did the benchmark and only scored a 4031 with everything turned off.
 
Try the Cat 8.07b (4.11b) driver, you should get around 5800/5900 points @ default (which means 1024x768, AA/AF set to appl.contr.).

More like 5600-5700

Thats a sucky score for that card, I have a 6800GT and I scored a 5286 and I also only have an AMD XP3200.

Yeah, but you are lucky that Nvidia runs DST by default. When you turn off DST your score would be like 600 or so. :D

No need to be jealous that I have money. Obviously if you look at my sig, keeping up to date on my technical "skillz" is not a high priority. Getting air on my mountain bike, playing with either of my cars, making more money, playing games, or travelling is.

I tried the Omegas....dropped my 3dmrak02 2k...wtf? I still cant do ship with 05. last time I ran it i was at 4900ish..wtf is up?

Yeah, the Omegas really, really killed my score. :(

I originally had to use them to get my X800 XT PE to work with the 42" GWIII
