X800 XT in a Shuttle?

I currently have a Radeon 9800 but it's just not cutting it in Doom 3 or Far Cry at the higher resolutions, so I feel an upgrade coming on.

I'm using a Shuttle SB61G2, which doesn't exactly have a huge amount of space around the AGP slot. The 9800 fits no problems, and I do have the Shuttle mesh case which helps cooling. (before it would overheat when playing Doom 3)

Does anyone run an X800 XT in one of these early Shuttles? The new ones have more space, and better cooling. It's an expensive card so I'd like to make sure it will work before taking the plunge.

Also, I've heard mention of an X800 XT PE? Is this any different to the XT?

Thanks in advance!

The x800 XT PE is clocked 20(or was it 50) mhz higher then the XT, and still under warranty

itll be fine, the X800XT is a single slot card and will fit without any problems, see sig :)

Awesome, thanks guys.

I'm due a bonus at work end of this month so I may splash for a X800 XT PE. The price is insane but I'm running a flat panel now (DELL 2005FPW) and native res is just too much for the 9800 Pro.

I have built one using X800XT PE and 3500+. Gets a little hot but stable.

Temperatures are like 50-55C under load in summer (ambient 26)

the X800 XT runs just fine in a Shuttle.

I've been running my soft modded XT PE in my SB75G2 for over five months now with ZERO problems.

Well, I have a 6800 GT in the box below, and if it's fine (which it is, rock stable and fast), have no fears with the X800 XT. I haven't kept up with current affairs regarding wattage drawn, but doesn't the X800 XT draw less wattage than the 6800 GT? Mine's PCI-E, BTW.
