Okay, so I got a computer from dell 6 months ago.. has an x800 xt.. checking it out on 3dmark05 it shows that the core clock and the memory clock are both 500mhz...

but looking at all of the x800xts on newegg and such all show a core clock of 500mhz and memory clock of 1000mhz... is mine throttled down any or is it just an inferior dell version?

(reason I was asking is cause I was considering getting a new motherboard and going with crossfire and another x800xt in the somewhat near future)

it says that because it refers to the DDR.. - Dual Datarate Ram 500x2 = 1000

ah, that makes sense thanks... what about the memory clock speed how all the others show 1000mhz? Is there anyway to check that or something? (doesn't show it on ati tools or anyplace other that i've seen)

Ati tool will show it in either true speed or DDR, whichever you want. Don't worry, it's a real card. I promise.

thats good to hear and know :p

the reason I was asking is because I remembered reading that the 6800gts from dell had been limited to 12 pipes instead of 16 and that you could unlock those.. was just making sure a similar situation hadn't been done with the x800xt...
