already posted, and they are BS, they are the author taking 9800xt scores and multiplying them by the ratio's of the # of pipes and the clocks to extrapolate the performance of the R420. not actual performance tests at all.

It is just estimates, and not very well thought-out ones at that.

OT: No cursing? Really? Well, fuck me! And here I thought that was only for titles.....

True, but we need SOMETHING. ;)

Yea, those graphs are just basically a forcast of what may come from ATI.

I wouldn't even call 'em that much.....but I'm still hoping for similar results.....no matter how obtuse the assumptions/estimates were.

Read what anadtech is saying once more time or more

it doesnt say exactly that. you are jumping to conclusions to quickly

is just advicing people to wait. at worst if the person doesnt wait, he or she will probably get another 5800

I read that the same way but since all indicators point to actual retail channel availability to be around the same timeframe for each card. It makes me want to step back and wait to see how this unfolds. It just doesn't make since to do anything but.

I do think that based on the 6800 numbers, it ain't gonna be a 5800 scenario all over again. However, if it is, the 6800 is a "5800" I can live with unless R420 does kick mucho grande ass at the same price point.

When the hell is ATi's NDA up anyway? What are they waiting for? I'm ready to ditch this 9800 pro (well actually the 5900nu in my son's rig and trickle the 9800 pro down) and spend some cash.

some say the 26th and others say may 4th, just depends on which rumors you want to believe...

Like I orginally stated:

Radeon X800 SE | GeForce 6800
Radeon X800 Pro | GeForce 6800 Ultra
Radeon X800 XT | n/a

But like others have said previously.....nobody knows if THAT is true until the card(s) is release date arrives and we see for ourselves. No amount of "credible sources" or rumors can stand up to the cold hard facts that we don't TRUELY get until the card is available in retail stores and there are actual reviews published.

Until then we can keep HOPING that the performance lines up how you've got it listed above, but you're in no better a position to confirm that then I am.....or anyone else around here is for that matter. Just sit tight dude.....the truth will come. ;)

No way guyz, Intel will come out with Uber Elitez Extreme Integrated Graphics 9.0 with ultra fast pre-processing that gets the video on the display before the game even asks for it. You'll be cappin biatches' asses before you even knowed they dun existed!

It'll share your syztemm memory and can use up to a GIG! You'll need 2 Gigs just to get 1337 gameplay in FarCry.
