yo, i wanna kno wich drivers would be good for this babe, just got it from newegg, the rosewill one...
i use to have this 9600 pro with the 4.7 catalyst, now i have the latest drivers, but im not really impressed, havent had enough time to check 3dmark n stuff.

im usin ati tool, but i cant seem to find out my temperatures, any of u kno of any good program out there to check em out?

Cat 5.3's are good, i use them. You cant get the temp's with an X800XL, there is no temp sensor, sorry.
 
the x800XL does have a temp sensor, you have to get the ATI Tool Beta that supports the x800XL. I use the 5.3 cats and they work great.
 
i was under the same impression and thought they dont have temp sensors, but they do. download ATI Tool Beta 5 and it gives you that feature. i use Cats 5.3
 
hey hows that rosiwell? Its th best deal Ive seen an an XL, but for some reason people think that if it isnt made BBA, Sapphire or powercolor, it will explode (The biggest name brands are NOT always the best choices people!_)
 
ATi tool .24 beta 5 still doesnt work for me.... says my core is 27 and my mem is at 310, and says i have 4 pipelines...no temp monitor comes up either.
 
ATI tool can read the temp sensor as well as the ATITray Tools. They do similar functions, but the ATITrayTools has more customized support for 3d functions and stuff of that nature.

I haven't looked at the Rosewill card, but hopefully the hsf on it is better than the stock ATI or Sapphire...b/c they suck ass. During heavy gaming my card will hit above 70c, so I'll be investing in an Ati Silencer 5 in the near future.

ok im usin ati tool beta 5 now, n its reportin 41 C, thats good ?

havent had enough time to play, but it seems to be a pretty good card.
ill try it with some cs now that i have some time...

started with ati tray tools at 41 C, full load on CS wont go above 47 C for about 1 hour.

i think thats a nice temp ! ;)
 
damn...my card sucks ass then...under heavy load it consistently shoots to high 60's...and the friggin fan goes nuts on it...

I just looked at the newegg card and it's the exact same as mine...makes me wonder if my hsf isn't making good contact...
