X800 S-Video Out Quality?

Does the X800 S-Video out provide a clear image on a 28in TV?

I'm thinking of getting a smaller screen when I get my new computer for games.
But for movies, I'm thinking of using the S-video to watch the movies on TV

Is the image quality any good?

My TV is an old 28in Sony
i got it in 1996?

It has an S-video port at the front panel.
