sorry i didnt see this in search so ill ask again.....

quoted form the article on tech powerup....
"It will only work on the X800 Pro VIVO. Manufacturer does not matter. It will not work on the X800 Pro (without VIVO).
The modified flashrom has been updated on Jan 03 2005 to support both AGP and PCI-Express X800 Pro VIVO cards. The mod is the same, just get a X800 XT PE PCI-E BIOS when flashing a PCI-E card."

no truth to this???

i want to buy an saphire pci-e X800 PRO VIVO and was wondering if it would work???

yea that is what i herd too but when i saw this it got me thinking cuz i wanted a good video card with vivo for as cheap as possible and if this were to be tru it would be perfect...

also the x800pro vivo does it also supply audio i and audio out along with the video or does it just send an image?

Nope, its just video only. And from what ive seen, almost all AGP VIVOs unlock, but heard stuff that the PCI-E ones dont.

alright well if it doesnt send the audio along with it then its pretty much useless to me neway might as well just get an x800xl and unlock it to and x800xt

You can 'unlock' an XL to anything, since they already have all 16 pipelines opens. Only bad things about XLs is they dont clock very high.

yea that is what i thought so ill guess ill be grabing one of those instead of a pro...

Pro's can be good cards. I saw a VIVO PCI-E Pro going for 250, and If you clock the card high enough it can keep up with a X800XL but I think in future games the 16 pipes are going make the gap even further.
