X800 Pro System Lockup

I am having a problem with my system, where any game or application running in 3D locks up my system, and I am forced to reboot.

x800 pro 256
asus a7n8x-e deluxe
xp 3200+
1024 mb ram
200 gb sata drive
antec 430w p/s


I've tested the video card in other systems and it seems to work fine. Ive replaced the hard drive and ram, then just now put in another brand new motherboard to see if it was any of that, and its still doing it. The only thing left is the cpu or the powersupply, does any of this make sense?
 
possible the power supply, i have been experiencing it before with my 9800XT so i switch to 480watts neopower and run so good for long time (even oced my card).
 
i just backed my FSB down to 166 and it seems to be working, now is this a defective cpu or is it the p/s and there is less draw on it so it is working?
 
can be either, uhmm wat kind of heatsink u got on cpu? if it get too hot the mobo will force itself to restart or shutdown.
 
i dont get reboots, i get total lockup. my cpu temp is about 48 so its not that high, i have a coolermaster aero4 on it.
 
mmm I have no idea wat's goin on with ur puter. I guess it's the psu isn't feedin enuf power to ur cpu.
