X800 pro and X850pro

I was browsing around looking for a new card for my system and I came across these to cards.

X850 Pro

X800 Pro

I have also been trying to find a GeForce 6800 GT AGP, but I am having a heck of a time finding one. I found one the other day for $300 retail (PNY Verto).

Price wise I think the 850Pro is the best choice, but I hear a lot of discussion about how a 6800GT is actually better due to the OC room. Anyone clarify which one is the best of the 3 for a system with 1g 3200 ram with a AMD 3000+ XP chip. Thanks.

Faster than all 3 of those cards is the x800xt. The ATI's AGP AIW x800xt is selling for $270 AR. Has a TV tuner extra too for watching/recording TV on your computer.

I would get the x850 pro and flash it to x850 xt pe Oh and dont buy online. U can get one for about $250 from bestbuy. Save money for ati silencer 5 rev 2

ya, i opened all the pipes on my x850pro from bestbuy...


good times when it works right..


other 1/2 the time, the card causes all sorts of problems.. if i had a choice, i'd go 6800

well u have to cool the card. thats where the ati silencer comes in. it gets as got as the x850 xt pe cus it becomes an x850 xt pe. Have u seen the cooling on the Pe compared to the x850pro. It looks like the ati silencer 5 rev 2 but is not quite as good. So if u get the ati silencer 5 rev 2 with an x850 pro, not only will u have an x850 xt pe after u flash it, but u will also have a perfectly stable and well cooled card (even better than the x850xt pe stock cooling ) I think this makes perfect sense.

I wouldnt go with the ati x800xt. im not happy with it. i wish i went sli.

I have a x850 pro overclocked to 615/615... on stock cooling. Its stable, but gets a little hotter than I'd like. A Zalman VF700CU is on teh way!!11

It's not on their website, it's in their sale paper. They are having their 10 year anniversary sale in Dallas along with their Black Friday sale at the same time.

That really seems like a good deal. It is over 300 bucks at every other big online vendor.

It may be in their black friday sale. The store here in Dallas started their sale on 11/18 and it runs thru 12/4.
