I have had an X800 Pro for a while now, and it has served me well. I found the deal on ATi's website to get a refurbished X800 Crossfire card for $80, and decided to do that to hold me over till I'm ready to invest in a DX10 card. It came with the Crossfire cable, and I got everything installed. The computer started up fine, and the display comes on. It even seems to render everything fine, made it through 3DMark 06 (doubled my score by the way) without any trouble, and ran the Supreme Commander Demo for an hour or so. My problem comes in the fact that there is what I can only describe as a waver in my screen that wasn't there before. It's only visible in light areas of the screen, you can't really notice it where it's black. It's rather hard to describe, but I know it isn't supposed to be there. I first thought it could be my monitor (an Acer 19" flat panel) but I traded it out for a 19" CRT i have, and that showed the waver as well, so I'm stumped. I also replaced the DVI to VGA converter with another one that I had sitting around here and that didn't seem to help any either. Anyone have any ideas?
