I was wondering does the x800 artic cooler have the adjustable fan switch which the 9800 version did, I have checked the website and it does not seem to feature this time round.
Im starting to artifact on my X800XT @ 545/575 and was wondering if the added cooling will help. On my 9800 cooler you could run at 2000rpm or 3500rpm (could be wrong) but it seems the X800 only runs at 2200rpm. My temps are hitting 75load on the stock fan.

By posting this I have just lost my noob status :D Bring on the (H)lite

I put the Artic Silencer 4 of my x800 and there is no way to manually adjust the speed. It is a one speed works for all type of thing. It works great though, no doubt about it. Can barely hear it at all because the fan spins so slow. Very happy to say that I saw a significant drop the GPU temp. at idle and load. If you plan on getting one I definitely reccomend it. :)

The newer Silencers don't have speed control as far as I know. My NV Silencer 5 didn't, I'd assume the ATI Silencer 4 would be the same way. They are very quiet at their standard setting, AND move alot of air compared to stock coolers..

you dont need a fan control, its quiet and faster than the vga silencer anyhow.
