X700 AGP?

you mean "I just saw in the morning" ehhe and guess wut? a 6600gt will eat that x700pro anyday, anywhere except HL2 :) and a 6600gt will cost less too, not to mention the BFG 6800 OC @ outpost.com for 199 which will beat the 6600gt which already beat up the x700pro :)

Hey, it's still a good card for ATi lovers like me... too bad I didn't know about this..

i cant find this anywhere else but best buy. they were way late on getting a comperable 6600gt agp card out, but better late then never. i guess..

The benchmarks I've seen put the 6600GT comfortably ahead of the X700pro, Half life 2 inclusive. Anandtech has a article you might want to check out. On a related note, the X700XT has a slight advantage in HL2 over the 6600GT, which you can find numbers for here.

The X700pro is a good card but the 6600gt is a little bit more better :D.

LOL There were never any x700XT cards in the US, except in the hands of select reviewers. I had seen some listed over a month ago (Powercolor and some other brand) in the UK, but none seem to be available anywhere anymore. It doesn't really matter since the faster plain (R430 w/12-pipelines enabled, 256-bit memory interface) x800 PCI-E cards are available at the same price.

i think the guy was asking if this is real.. because most people probably think x700 series is pci-e only but thx for the 6600gt props woo woo

you mean good thing I didn't know about this, hehe I see a 6600gt in your sig :) good choice hehe

sorry to say, but an X700Pro and a 6600GT are about equall with the slight edge going to the 6600GT. Both are quite capable cards and for someone who prefers an Ati card, its not a bad choice, but newegg has a brand new 9800Pro for 129$ and its a 256bit card not 128, IMO that is the best bang for your buck in the AGP depratment right now.

I don't know what benchmarks you are looking at but the 6600GT is more than "slightly" faster. Best bang for the buck is the BFG 6800 OC for $199 @ outpost.com.

but ATI may realize that since the 6600GT is slightly faster they may drop the price, which may cause price wars, which is good for us.

However, prices won't drop much probably

Yeah, for AGP that's a very good bang for the buck.

If someone has PCI-E, the link I posted above has an even better bang/$ at stock speed: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=324545 12 pipeline x800 (R430) w/256-bit memory bus, 392MHz core, 700MHz memory and dual DVI.

This x800 and the BFG 6800 OC can (possibly) unlock to 16 pipelines and both use faster than required memory (2ns on the x800 and 2.2ns on the 6800), so after overclocking and unlocking both are pretty close. $200 cards are finally *very* good.

Well I only really play CS:S so it doesn't matter...

my intention wasnt to make cheers about this x700 agp , is just that i didnt see any reviews on internet about this card (toms, hard , etc), also i cant find any store like zipzom, or even new egg offering this card. i also check in ati web page and they didnt have any product information related to this card , so my first reaction was "this must be a best buy mistake".

i knwo that $199 for this card is not a big deal, but come on, is best buy, they dont have offers like new egg , so maybe in a couple of days we see this card with a price tag of $170 or $150 , also in a lot of flavors (powercolor, rosewill etc etc).

But $129 for a 9800 pro i s still the best deal :D

and by the way , sorry for my english but im from mexico ,so you know.

:(
