is the x6800 faster than the e6850?

why is the x6800 more expensive?
 
Unlocked multiplier is the only advantage of the X6800 AFAIK. Its not even remotely worth its pricetag.

Never has been, either, unless you are HEAVILY into overclocking. (or heavily NOT into overclocking...)

Intrinsically, there may be more differences than that, but for us commoners the only difference is the accessible multiplier in the X6800. I'd like to know if they're using different silicon or something, or just binning the hell out of the Conroe cores for the G0 stepping CPUs.
