x600xt -----> x800XL

hey people, got a quick question, im running an a64 3200 newcastle, 1gb ram, etc...anyway, i got an x600xt this weekend from a local place, for $100..worst $100 ive ever spent, this card is worthless. cant even get 30fps in doom 3. so they have a x800xl for $300. my question is, would it be a drastic change to go to the x800xl? how does it compare to the 6800gt ive got running in my main system? i cant order online, so $300 is the best deal i can get.
 
If playing doom3 6800gt will get a bit better fps but in overall games the x800xl wins.

wow, really? i didnt know it was as good as the 6800gt..i thought it was a value card...$300 isnt bad then i guess if it really does do as well as the 6800gt..by the way, how much lower will frames be in doom 3?
 
The 6800GT beats the X800XL in everything but HL2 and CSS..........but the X800XL isn't far behind. If you overclock it a good amount you can close the gap.
