a x6 1055t that can do 3.6ghz on 1.4v how would the temperature of it compare to a 965be that can do 3.8ghz at MAX temperature 56c?

Also how far could that X6 be pushed with increasing volts on my "weak" cooler.

much lower. the thubans use better silicone and metal which allows for better temps and heat transfer. at 3.6Ghz stock cooling the thuban should be around 55-58C. any middle range aftermarket cooling mid 40's.

Considering my 965be at 1.425v is 56c.
I guess when you mention 55-58c is because of 6 cores then?

If I get thuban I will disable 2 cores and go for as high clock as possible allowed by my cooling.

In games it seems Thuban is 400mhz more effective compared to Deneb.
