So I'm not exactly what the cause of this is, I've toyed with all the boot options with still no luck. If I leave them plugged in the mobo will just restart and give me a OC failure message and revert to factory settings. If I leave them unplugged and plug them in when I get into Windows I have no issues.

common issue with a lot of the USB ports on newer motherboards.. you may want to check if theres a bios update that fixes the problem but a ton of newer boards are seeing this issue..

My board wouldn't do that but it would hang in the bios with some usb devices, a bios update fixed it.

have you messed around with USB settings in BIOS?? disabling legacy support is the first thing that comes to mind

bump, any other insight on this? I've went through a few BIOS updates with the same problem still. It's pretty annoying having to unplug and plug in my USB HD's every time I start my computer
