What mother board would you guys recommend for 3 way sli with the x58 chipset? im not sure myself.

p6t
gigabyte
evga
atm they all support 16x/8x/8x.
Evga is supposed to have a nf200 enabled 16x/16x/16x board out sometime in december.

The Asus P6T can't do triple SLI if you are using dual slot cards because of the PCI-E arrangement, and if you are doing triple SLI you are probably (hopefully) using some of the more top end cards that are all dual slots. You can add the Asus Rampage II Extreme to the list though in its place.

EVGA has the worst cooling of any of the X58s I've seen. I'd take the Gigabyte Extreme board over it hands down.

How do you know? I'm asking because I was thinking of getting this board.

It looks like a variant of the cooling system used on their 680i / 780i / 790i boards. Might very well be sufficient (Intel chipsets generally run cooler than their Nvidia counterparts) but when put up against the cooling system on the Gigabyte Extreme or the high end ASUS boards, it's downright puny.

I'll wait until some actual facts roll in - like temps rather than an "it looks like" review.

I agree. Also, since the memory controller isn't on the NB anymore, maybe that means these new chips also run cooler than previous ones...
