As what I know, the only issue with IP35-Pro is the vdroop, I hope this does not pose a problem for me since I will OC moderately (Q6600 @ 2.8 GHz).

My own reason for waiting for the X38 is disappointing choice in P35 boards. IP35 Pro has bad vdroop, P5K family has some SATA issues (I have 4 sata drives so it's a bad problem), Gigabyte isn't a brand I can trust after the P965-DS3 issues I heard around.
Also, it has better memory performances compared to P35, IHS on the chipset (great thing for watercooling or aftermarket heatsink without crushing the core), better PCI-E bandwidth, etc..
I thought the 35 and 38 series chipsets only support ATI vid cards?
my reasoning is purely cosmetic. I pretty much only buy dfi boards because of how they are UV reactive. And since DFI's P35 is green (bad color choice) I am waiting for the x38 boards
The boards can do it fine given gfx drivers support.(Although the rumor was that the X38's MIGHT be able to do Nvidia's SLI also..but I think that has been disproven. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though)
Sorry to do two posts.
Anyway..you might not like this, but saw a post today on another site that the DFI Lanparty X38 might use the same green for the slots:

No photos in that post, but to quote:
"First of all the colours of the slots have changed from orange to green and yellow, just like the P35-T2R"
Anyway.
is it UV reactive at least?

& there's the rub, nVidia won't (at least currently) provide SLI drivers that work on other chipsets than nVidia.
From what I've heard the X38 chipset costs ~$17 dollars more to a mobo mfr than P35 which probably translates to a $50 difference at retail.
