x300 vs x800GTO

The GTO is around $170 right now and for r480 core and 12pp it seems like a very good buy. Any advise against this upgrade? BTW the computers specs which this card is going to are:

Pentium 4 550
1gb(512x2) micron ram
audigy 2 zs sound card
x300 128mb video card
 
the GTO most often has the R423 core...
only guarantee is the GTO2 having the R480 core...

Still, though.. the GTO is a good value..
 
yeah a x300 is pretty much bottom of the barrel, imo it is a good upgrade especially if you plan on doing any gaming
