X300: How do you "enable" Hypermemory?

Just got a new test box here at work... its a Dell Dimension 9150 including a low end X300 with 128mb of "Hypermemory." Looking in the catalyst control center, it shows that the card has 32mb onboard, which is fine yet, none of my system memory is in use. For some reason, the "Hypermemory" part of this card is not enabled. Is there a way to enable it in the CCC?

I want to test Vista Beta 2 on this box using our MSDN subscription and to enable Aero, it needs more than just 32mb of Ram. Thank you all for your replies!

I looked there, but since its an actual card (in a PCI Express 16x slot) there's no options to set the memory in the system BIOS.

Why would you say that? HyperMemory is a function of the video driver and the X300 HM is a video card, not integrated video.

AuxNuke: Additional memory for video is allocated when needed. It's not permanently set aside. Try running 3DMark or Futuremark's Game Advisor and see what is detected for video memory size. http://gameadvisor.futuremark.com/gameadvisor/service/

My GMA900 normally reserves 8MB for video on the desktop, but Game Advisor shows the max 128MB that the chipset supports.

Any way to set it permanently? I "need" it to be enabled in 2D mode for Vista to run the Aero interface. Thanks!

Vista's Aero Glass runs in 3D mode. :p Don't worry about it. People are reporting that even 0MB (pure TC or HM, no local memory) nvidia and ATI integrated chipsets work in Vista with Aero Glass.
 
Sweet, lol. I got Vista Beta 2 installed now and Aero works... but the transparency effect does not, LOL.
