i wanted to know, I just purchased an x2 3800 and did not think about overclocking but I wanted to know if this model or if there are more than one model of x2 3800's. I didn't even think about it so I hope I got one that will overclock well.
Model: ADA3800BVBOX
If this chip indeed is a good overclocker will anyone give me any results overclocking it with watercooling with an A8N Sli Premium. I also would like to know some bios settings that are most efficient with watercooling. thanks guys

you need to give us all info that is on the heat spreader. Stepping, week, etc...

So far the X-2 3800 chip seems very over clock friendly. Mine runs all day at 2.5 with 1.47 volts at full load. Temps if I use air (XP-90 with Thermal Take Cat-90) with an ambient room temp of about 74f never exceed 40c, usually a bit lower.

It’s a dang nice chip, especially at the new lower price

how do u suppose using watercooling will affect. you can get 2.5 ghz can i get higher with watercooling? and as far as ram goes can someone give me some specific settings for ram, and cpu

My x2 3800 will only overclock to 2.2GHz and be prime stable. I can get it to 2.5, but one of the cores errors out in prime.
