I just wanted to let my fellow team members about my newest addition to the garden. A baby X2 3800. After some initial hitches, I've got that sucker overclocked to 2.45 ghz x 2 cores. A cost-effective way to increase output, and save $3-4/month on the electric bill versus 2 comparable 2.4ghz Socket-754 systems.

Pretty good overclocker too: 2.0ghz to 2.4ghz for the extra $45 expense of an Thermalright XP-90 and a good fan. One does have to run up the voltage a bit though; 1.45 - 1.47 to get this much overclock.

They are nice. It sure helped out my ppd. I switched from a 2.3Ghz A64 to the 3800X2 and Ive got it running all day and night at 2.5Ghz @ 1.6v on stock cooler. It's rock solid with 2 instances of F@H going.

What kind of temperatures are you seeing at 1.6v on stock cooler? I get 50-51C with a Thermalright XP90 plus 56cfm 92mm fan. I can't confirm that the BIOS is right of course...

But heck yeah, they put out the points. I also discovered that they now work with some NF3 boards (my MSI Neo2 Platinum is one of them). I'm awfully tempted to get an early Xmas gift for myself...

I'm getting 2500 MHz at 1,41V. Gigabyte air cooler.
MSI K8N Ne4/SLI and OCZ ram

I have no idea what my temps are. My DFI Infinity SLI board isnt giving me an accurate temp reading unless it somehow is running at 43C full load. Yeah, right.

2.5Ghz with stock heatsink / better fan 1.38 volts.
Running 2 console clients 24 / 7.

Max temp Priming 51c
Max temp folding 48c
