x1950xt not cutting it?

right now i have a x1950xt that ran great on xp pro on my 17" monitor.

since ive upgraded to vista ultim and a 20.1" monitor @ 1680x1050 and it seems i get alot lower fps in games, i play WoW mostly and its easy to run but in major towns i drop to 30-40fps out of towns im pegged @ 60 (vsync).

is it the lack of vram 256, or vista thats killing me? pre vista and new monitor i never droped below 60 even in towns.
 
its well known that vista isnt up to snuff with games secondary to the poor drivers available. lets hope the drivers get better shortly
 
yhup, in vista I used to get constant 60FPS on cod2, now im lucky if I can pull off 35FPS. I have a 20.1'' monitor too with the x1950xt. Damn lack of openGL! Vista sucks, but we're all gonna have to move on to it eventually.....
 
yea pre 7.3 cats u had to run the x1950xt in 2d mode or u would bsod. i really dont wana format again after just doing it twice but i might before i go spend more money on a new card.
