With the specs i have in my sig, would it be worth upgrading from the 6800GT? Would that be enough of an upgrade to hold me over while i save up for a new system?

It would be a good upgrade for sure, but I would recommend saving up for a new system. Not worth upgrading that one.
 
Depends on how much gaming you do and how well the games you play run on your system.

If your games run fine, keep your card. If you game a fair bit and they run rather slow then perhaps an upgrade would be good. But if your planning on upgrading the whole system it would almost make more sense to wait till then.
 
thanks guys. I think im going to buy the card for $150 and just save up for a new dx10 system around the end of the year.
