How you guys doing.
I have a 1900XtX driving my hp fw900.
I installed the drivers for the monitor and tried power strip but I can't seem to run at 1680x 1050. I can use 1920x1200 for games and its great but for the desktop is too small.
BTW IM using Cat 6.3, tried 6.4 with same problem.

Please any suggestions?

i believe 1920x1200 is the native res, to run something other than that if it's not already present you have to edit the res into the drivers, i would just run 1920x1200 and increase the icon size if that's your issue.

go to the "force" options in the CCC ,

that resolution should be there ,

and once you apply the settings it should also be available from the resolution menu

or you can go to ur display properties, uncheck the "display only modes this monitor can do" thingy =p

running at non native res will be lurry as well... id advise changing icon size :p

An FW900 is a CRT. It is the best gaming monitor on the planet imho. Well, for those that still want a monitor and not a TV or the 30" beasts, or still loathe the response rate of modern panels. 24" widescreen. 1920*1200@98Hz. Yes, that obliteratingly awesome. 1680*1050 etc is no prob.

Add with powerstrip bud. I have one too, and used it to add 1680*1050. I did not find an intuitive way when I was poking through the driver to add things not on it's list. Configure it in powerstrip. The options in powerstrip is dizzying at first but I just change my x and y, like 1920*1200, and the vertical refresh, the other numbers just change in line. Also, you do not have to run powerstrip afterward. Only thing I run it for is 1920*1200 at 95Hz. I guess when the Hz isn't in the standard windows set, powerstrip needs to run. 1680*1050 at 100Hz and stuff like that does not. It will appear in the ATi driver like it noticed the res all along.
