Okay, I have had this card for about a year now, and the rest of my system(in my sig) since the summer of 2005. In the last year, I have noticed a general and slow degradation of performance. I have all the absolute minimum settings in WoW (everything at low, LoD on, no AA, shaders, or anything) and my computer is brought to its knees in the tiniest of situations. Raids are almost impossibly slow, and shattrath....forget about it. I average 20 or less FPS in shattrath city, with or without UI mods installed.

TF2 and other source games are the same. I have shadows set to "Low", no AA or AF, no HDR, motion blur disabled (though that doesn't seem to make any difference), no reflections enabled, and the FPS drops sink into the teens when more than one person is on the screen, or if I look into an outdoorsy type area.

I'm using cat 7.9s, I have tried reformatting, using third party tools, optimizations, and a heap of other things to try and improve performance to no avail. Can anyone else suggest what I can do to fix this?

what resolutions are you playing at? also check what you are getting under load in temps with that card in each game a post it.

I run at native resolution for my monitor (1680x1050)

The temp never goes over 31C CPU or 41C GPU. I am not running overclocked.

Well, my dad just built a new system with the 1950pro 512. Pretty amazing card, surely outperforms my 8600 GT for dx9 games. So I have no idea what the problem might be. Infact my old 6600 gt never had problems with Source games and it played them on almost max settings.

I have heard of some lcds rewriting settings on videocards and stuff. Might be worth looking into getting a firmware update for your card.

Heres a site for the flash utilities, they used to have the rom files too, but now anymore i guess:

How does an LCD change firmware settings on a video card

I have used ATI tray tools and CCC, neither have seemed to have done anything.

Also, what BIOS would I flash the card to?

have you reformatted your comp since youve been playing? If not you might want to do so. Also more ram may help, i know when i was playing WOW i tried 512mb, 1gig, and 2gig and 2 gig was really a necessity in some areas, 4 gig might be even better.

2GB is overkill in source, and when I started playing WoW in December of last year, I didn't have any performance problems, even with UI mods.

I have tweaked and adjusted RAM timings and I discovered that I hadn't changed the multiplier back to 11 from when I was trying to run at 10x250. It improved it some, but it still slogs through combat parts and wide open spaces.

I can say that there is something definately wrong.

I am a WoW player with a 1900XT 512 and AMD 4200+, screen resolution 1680x1050 (naitive resolution for my monitor). Everything is stock, nothing overclocked. I have zero problems that you are having. I get 40-45 fps in Shatt, and since i run Vsync to prevent tearing i get 60fps everywhere else. I removed vsync and in Azeroth i get upwards of 120-130fps and in other areas of Outlands 100-110fps.

I find it very odd that you are getting such poor performance from the XTX. Well, unless you are running in Vista that is. :p
