Alright guys i am using ATI Tool and after uping the voltage of the core to 1.5V and running at 665/800 on a after market cooler my temperature crossed 100C. I was so affraid i closed the artifact scanning. I mean what is the safest temperature for this, can some one tell please.

Thanx.

yeah I would say drop the voltage, or go get water cooling, because that is VERY high, even for a video card.

I have water cooling for CPU, but i think i will go back to 650/850 with default 1.425v.

What is the maximum overclock for memory i have 1.1ns memory on my X1900XT

OMG, dude. You don't need that much voltage for those speeds...

I do 650/785 with vcore @ 1.35 and everything else @ default. I get 75* max

I think you are doing 2 things wrong.
A) you are overvolting.
B) you did something wrong on the install

I am able to run my card at 1.35 volts, 750/900 on STOCK cooling. I run the fan constantly at 3800rpm....and max I get is like 80C.....100C you can boil water lol.

Well I remember running Oblivion for half an hour just fine with my card at over 100C (back when I was trying out my Kuforumula VF1) I would say the card can take it would likely shorten its lifespan. 1.5v really is too much for 665 core as others have pointed out. I only need 1.5v to get to 725 MHz for instance (max load of 75C with stock cooler @ 100%)

I think i have to recheck or my card has some problem with overclocking it cannot go above 665 on any voltage, but i have 1.1ns memory which is working fine at 800.

Which is the best water GPU Block and lowest in cost for 3/8" tubbing.

i;m at 670/820 on my xtx with stock cooling, at 1.4 volts. mine used to hit 90*C at full load, but i removed the heatsink and put some as5 and the mps dont usually go above 75*C now.

Yeah its a good idea to lap the heatsink good and apply AS5 because it really helps drop the temps.

while we are on the subject of temps, anybody know their voltage regulator temps off hand? mine are up in the 90s*C at load in atitool, while my gpu temps are up to 10-15* lower.

It will be good if some more people put their load temperature, so every body could understand their temperatures are normal or cards are overheating.

You forgot:

C) His card is an XT, your is an XTX.
D) His GPU sucks at overclocking, yours is an XTX.

Here is mine:

X1900XTX, stock cooling, 700/800 with CCC's Overdrive. Temps never over 80ºC, fan barely speeds up over slowest speed.

I have a dual X1900XT Crossfire setup and use a simple blower to blow coolair on the X1900's front. This cools the voltage regulators and pushes air in the blower.temps have dropped bu over 10 Celcius!

Halps a damn lot. Before my Crossfire X1900's where boiling hot. My 6800Ultra died a voltage regulator death, had to RMA it twice.

A simple Cooler Master blower will help alot and add little noise,as the ATI blowers will be heard much more.

92c at load. fan spins upto 50% according to riva tuner. Voltage reg gets to 84c. Thats a;; stock on an x1900xtx, ive a double fan gadget to fit in that goes over the card but dunno if my aurora case wil let me install it with the little lock down pci slot thing it has.

Here's what i did took out the stock fan of Aero Cool Turbo2 and put 2 x 80 mm fans.

Yes it did, but still at 90C after 5 minutes for artifacts scan in ATI tool, but never goes up. I have a confusion, what is the temperature on the top in ATI TOOL. I mean in the same line where GPU temperature is, there is another temperature on top of that.

I have 1.1ns memory on this baby, should i try to flash the X1900XT BIOS or not? My maximum stable overclock is 650 / 1600 mhz with 1.45 voltage. Or i should use Water block to get upto 700mhz?
What is the maximum memory overclock for 1.1ns mine cannot go above 825mhz?
