I am going to RMA my HIS X1900XT card back to HIS but since I removed the stock cooler they probably will not honor the RMA...but I have saved the old stock cooler (with screws etc) and am wondering if someone can help me put the stock cooler back on the video card before I RMA it (I had someone else put the new Zalman VGA cooler on the card but he is now in California)...I can pay you and hand deliver the card + old cooler to your location...I just need it to be put back EXACTLY the way it was before so that HIS will not know that it had been removed and will honor my RMA...

can someone please help me with my problem...I live in New York City (Manhattan) and I can travel to you as long as it is a reasonable distance or you can come to me...just name your price...I also have some old hardware if someone prefers that...please get back to me soon because I really need to RMA this card as soon as possible...Thanks
 
its not like rocket science, it is actually fairly simple, just take your time, why are you sending it back for RMA anyway? more importantly, why did you change the HIS sink and fan, I thought that they had the best ones in the market.
 
the early X1900 cards did not come with the special HIS IceQ coolers...they came with the standard ones...HIS will be releasing the X1900 cards with the special coolers shortly...

I RMA'd the card because it is defective...I constantly get "No Signal" on my Monitor and the system will not boot up...after putting in another video card the system works fine...so the old card was the issue...

I don't want to take a chance on messing anything up so that is why I am looking for someone to help me...help a guy out and get paid for doing an easy quick job...doesn't get any easier
 
well I wish I could help you but I live too far away and I am ussually to busy do do repairs on my own computers.
Just try it out your self, find a nice quite place to do the work and take your time, or try a local electricians shop, they may help.

and yes can someone PLEASE help...I can even bring the video card/cooler to your location as long as it is not tooo far from me...
 
If its like Sapphires HSF, its only 2 parts. 1 thin metal square-shaped peice thats on the back of the card and 1 huge Heatsink and fan deal. 4 screws for each. If thats the case, Im sure we can talk you thru it.
