I unlocked it and hit the Apply button when I move the sliders around, but the "Current VPU clock" doesn't change at all.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks guys.

That's normal. The 'requested' clockspeeds are what change and take effect when you enter fullscreen 3D - until then they stay at 500/600 to save power. There have been numerous threads about this already. ATiTool and/or ATi Tray Tools will let you apply the OC straight away and also test for display artifacts, so it may be worth looking them up. With stock cooling you won't be going too far though.

Click "Run automated clock configuration utility" and let it go through a cycle. Afterwards, you can play with the sliders however you like. At least, that has been my experience. Hope that helps. :)

There may be numerous threads about this, but unfortunately there is no search function, so unless you like flipping through hundreds of posts... :)
