So I just got this installed using the latest drivers and CCC but when I checked the clock and memory speeds using the ATI Overdrive utility and ATI Tool, it says my card is only running at a 500Mhz core and 594Mhz (1188) memory. I rechecked websites regarding this card and all the info says the card should have a 625 core and 725 memory. Are the advertised specs correct? Anyone else have this issue? Perhaps RMA time? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

x1900xt 256mb Question

This may sound a bit naive.... I toggled out of the game and checked both ATI Tool and CCC and they still showed as 550 core and 594 memory. I will set the clock.memory speeds to 621/720 but eventually it still reverts back to the 500/594. Kinda confused here.
I set up ATI Tool to have an audible notification when a 3D application starts. I started a few games heard the sound and verified the application start through the log. Since the ATI Tool log file does not show the increase or decrease in clock and memory speed, is there an easy way to verify the card is actually ramping up to the correct speeds? Would a second monitor with ATI Tool / CCC displayed on it while a game is on the primary monitor show real-time increase /decrease of the speeds?
I was freaking out when I noticed my X1900XT 256mb was running at 500/590 too until I read about the 2d/3d clock thing. A simple way to test this would be to run 3DMark with the video card overclocked in CCC and then run 3DMark again at stock speeds. If performance does not go down at all then something is wrong.
I searched through a few of the forum posts and tried to log the GPU and memory clocks in and out of 3D applications and there doesn't seem to be any change in the speeds. I an running the latest version of CCC and drivers, latest ATI Tool and Riva Tuner. Am I missing something here? The ATI Tool lof file shows a 3D / game application starting but no changes to the speed. I am ready to yank this damn thing out and RMA it. Any hints?

Have you tried running a 3d app in window mode iwth CCC or whatever off to the side in the background and see if it changes that way?

Ati Tray tools has a graph you can set for gpu and mem clock, I use omega drivers so I use ATT to and manually set the requirements for my auto OC.

But when you toggle out of the game you card has to switch back to 2d mode to render the desktop and thus back to it's 2d clockspeeds.
I got the riva tuner figured out and verified the speeds through the live graphing and adding a second monitor to the card to span windows across it. Thanks for the help everyone.

(Depending if the 500/594 or 621/720 profile was selected, it would run constantly on that setting in and out of the game.) Is there a setting in ATI Tool that I need to change?
