I finally got my other cooler for my Master Card and now its complete. I just thought i'd post image of my setup for ati fans.

PIC
my.php

Im using the Koolance Exos2. Runs both cards at low 29-32C and on load never over 40C no matter how long i play games. that cpu cooler is cooling my AMD X2 4800+ @ 2.7 (5400+)

Cool setup. Is the liquid UV reactive?

Also, I have never built a watercooling rig, and it looks like all the flow goes through the proc block first, right? then is split to go through each card block, then comes back into one return line? is this correct?

I would wonder about how flow equalization can be guaranteed between the two GPU blocks.. or if you see any evidence that flow is non uniform (different temps) etc. I also wonder if there are ways of setting up the cooling circuit where the proc flow is a separate loop independent of the circuit for the video cards, where maybe they could also be kept separate?

What are your thoughts?

Thanks guyz. Well I tried to overclock them but im having problem overclocking both cards. When i had the single X1800XT i pushed it to 700/800 no problem and got 1,000+ jump in 3dmark 2005. When i overclock the Crossfire it doesnt do anything. Its a software bug im guessing.

The flow through the system is great. The video cards have equal flow. I even made sure the hoses were pretty equal in length. The temps are both the same believe it or not. I was expecting the the slave to be slightly cooler then the mastercard. Another reason why it cools fine is first i had only the cpu and the slave card liquid cooled. I added the master card in my comp and bought another liquid cooler and temps didnt change. Both the cpu and slave card stayed the same temps. Only difference i got was mastercard dropped in temps big time from stock cooling. =) Especially my load temps.

the cost for the whole system was about 500 bucks, and what u mean about the ID and OD ??

U just have to see half life 2, lost coast, quake 4, etc. runs so smooth.
I run all my games at 1280x1024. 6x Adaptive AA, 16x AF HQ. I cant wait till I overclock them. im hoping to get a nice fps jump. =)

Oh god that is ridiculous, I whish I had that much money.

nah i just run it at that. i can run quake 4, hl2 1600x1200+ same settings and perfect.
its like this. u go from 1024 to 1600 and u dont notice the difference, just looks way better. still perfectly smooth.defiently worth it. to some people its not, but to me it is. i dont mind spending the cash and i dont like play games with any stutter. i want all my games to be perfect no matter what.

another thing on that note is u say not worth it for that res and IQ, but yet 90% of computer gamers cant even run that.

Look, I never intended it to get like this but allow me to make myself more clear. With 2 X1800XT's in Crossfire you are capable of running said eye candies at even higher resolutions, this is what I meant by my statement, it's a shame you've got a killer rig yet you limit yourself to an average resolution.

If you want to see the rig run 1600x1200 go buy your own... it's his choice.

oh no i wasnt arguing. but i understand. I just lleave it at 1280 cause it has perfect IQ just like 1600x1200, and fps less stressing on cards i guess. for single player games i run 1600x1200 and multiplayer i run 1280. im def happy with crossfire besides for driver bugs and crap. There has only been one driver release for crossfire so i cant really complain. yet LOL

I was thinking for my next new computer to go crossfire, it seems pretty sweet.

yea its amazing and cheaper then 7800gtx 512mb sli. also out performs it in eye candy tests. I'll do a review on my system in week or so and post it.

If I had that kind of money I would definetly get it, even though I don't game so much...

I would probably invest into a nicer monitor first.

I am suprised the Exos 2 can handle both cards and cpu at those temps, but congrats

oh i will. just not yet. soon
Hamilton Ontario canada. lol im originally from there. Lime ridge mall all that crap haha

thanks, but yet i thought the same. I went out on the limb and bought it and turned out to be great.

Damn, how did you move out of this poor ass city? You must have won the lottery!

Give me your secret!

lol. dad has and had good jobs so he didnt alot of business in florida. so we moved here.
was up there for christmas

How is that Asus board? I ask because, I am going to be replacing my card but I don't want it to go to waste; so, seeing as I already have an extra processor (same as in my current rig) and RAM (same again) I was going to just pick up one of those boards and an X850 master card. I was also going to use water cooling on that rig aswell.

the koolance system is fine, i run it in an integrated case, (pc3-750) and i water cool 2x7800GT video cards, i dont like the koolance h2o block though...so im switching it to a danger den block

An nVidiot has a question.

Can you run the two cards while in CrossFire mode multi monitor? SLI doesn't support multiple monitors while running in SLI, so you have to disable it.

And though the new Forceware 80 drivers are not supposed to require a reboot, sometimes going back to SLI forces a reboot. Go figure.

Great rig. What are you getting on 3dMark05? You've got the same CPU as me and I noticed that you got it to 2.7. Nice! I haven't done any manual overclocking yet, just the auto stuff from the A8N32, but I just want to use air cooling.

as for the dual monitors i'd couldnt say. In 3dmark 2005 i can 13,990's on average. one time i peaked into 14K getting 14,012 score. When i can overclock the crossfire setup im hoping to get 16-17K or so =)

Intresting. I would have thought you would be doing better than the 14k with your current clocks. I'm gettting about 13.1k, and my system isn't really overclocked except for the slight auto oc boost from the A8N32, amd my BFG's are slightly overclock 589/1.76 up from the stock 580/1.75.

Quick question, what does IQ stand for in terms of video cards? I've seen it used a couple times, but never quite got it.

And just so this post isn't a complete waste.. here's my watercooled system, rocking the 9800 Pro
